Wagenborg’s flexible fleet, ranging in size from 2,000 to 23,000 tonnes, consists of ~160 box-shaped, ice-strengthened general cargo vessels under Dutch flag. With this diversity in size and tonnage your products and volumes can always be shipped in a flexible, reliable and safe way. This way Wagenborg serves top-tier clients with large cargo contracts, time charters and spot shipments.

Ice classed vessels guarantee year-round service
The majority of the fleet owned and managed by Wagenborg and affiliated owners are constructed for operations in ice. These ice-class vessels enable bulk producers and traders to ship their products year-round, even in harsh winter conditions in the Baltic, Saint Lawrence or other ice-infested waters.

Energy efficient vessels minimize environmental footprint
The aerodynamic hull shapes of the various ship types, in combination with the energy-efficient propulsion concepts and propeller in a nozzle, results in low fuel consumption. In addition, live data systems monitor fuel consumption. Supplemented with periodic fuel-efficiency reports, both crew and shore personnel are completely focused on efficient sailing and minimizing the environmental footprint in the supply chain.

Box shaped holds, tween decks and removable bulk heads
All our vessels have box-shaped holds to stow various types of cargo perfectly. Pontoon and/or hydraulic hatches and dehumidifying systems ensure water tight and undamaged sea transport. In addition, many vessels are equipped with removable tween decks and bulkheads. This allows separation of cargo types and optimal stowing of various cargo simultaneously. In-house cargo superintendents support optimal loading.

Geared and gearless
In addition to flexibility in terms of vessel size, offers Wagenborg next to her gearless vessels, also geared tonnage. With these geared vessels bulk producers and traders can trade in areas without port crane facilities. The ships with deck cranes are perfectly suitable for handling project cargoes and breakbulk while the gearless tonnage are mainly used for bulk cargoes.

Fivelborg ready for years of reliable service after successful docking and special survey
Last week, Wagenborg has completed the docking and special survey of the 15-year-old general cargo vessel Fivelborg at the renowned shipyard Royal Niestern Sander in Delfzijl. Wagenborg reaches next milestone in construction of sixth EasyMax
Last week, a significant milestone was reached in the construction of Wagenborg’s sixth EasyMax at Royal Niestern Sander. The bow section was moved out of the assembly hall and placed outside, where it will continue to be outfitted before being joined with the stern section, bringing the ship closer to its final form.
